On Saturday, former WWE superstar Chavo Guerrero Jr. was officially released from the WWE due to a request he made on Friday night. Chavo was frustrated with the way the WWE has used him over the last few years. On Saturday, current WWE talent Vickie Guerrero made the following comments about Chavo’s departure via her Twitter page:
“My respect goes to Chavo. He has made a decision that makes him and his beautiful family happy. I love him and will miss him!”
Chavo Guerrero Jr. asks for WWE release, Takes shots at WWE on his way out
Chavo declared on Saturday that he was happy with the release because he felt that he was being poorly booked by the WWE. Chavo grew tired of putting everyone else over and not receiving a “push” of his own. Immediately, Chavo’s fans wondered if he would end up in TNA. Despite some of the die-hard TNA fans saying the company doesn’t need him, I disagree.
Over the last year, TNA has really focused on their relationship with wrestling promotions in Mexico, specifically AAA. It’s a relationship that can boost both companies with talent and exciting storylines. Chavo Guerrero Jr. would be a perfect fit for this relationship. He comes from one of the most respected wrestling families above and below the border. And, he can still work.
Additionally, TNA has a group called Mexican America that is tailor made for Chavo Guerrero as his mic work far exceeds that of Hernandez and Anarquia. He can assist in putting over storylines that the other two fall short with when cutting promos. Additionally, it can free up Hernandez to fight for bigger titles while Anarquia and Chavo can go for the tag-titles or even the X-division. This group can become a dominant faction.

And let’s not forget that his uncle Hector Guerrero is also a part of the Spanish announce team for TNA. There are too many entertaining possibilities with Chavo heading to TNA that shouldn’t be overlooked by his age.
