Four courses with passed hors d’oevres. Menu: First course, Charred yellow tomato gazpacho paired with cucumber basil vodka tonic. 2nd course, Cocoa dusted boar tenderloin with butter leek baked yukon gold potatoes and cherry glaze, paired with Luxardo Cherry Manhattan. 3rd course, Chimichurri Rubbed Buffalo Rib Eye with Duck Fat Frites and Chipotle Hollandaise, paired with Marques De Caceres Gran Riserva Rioja. 4th course, Chocolate Tart with Caramel Ice Cream and Sea Salt, paired with Real Ale Coffee Porter. Four course dinner includes fresh seafood ceviche, fresh Texas vine-ripe tomato and Buffalo mozzarella, Texas tornadoes, twin filet mignon medallions, red velvet cupcakes with raspberry sauce, and Texas Frozen Lemonade. The cocktail menu features a watermelon mojito with Railean Rum, a skinny cosmo martini with Enchanted Vodka, a blue lagoon margarita with El Perico Agave Spirit, a Texas two-step with Roxor Gin, Messina Hof Pinot Noir and a Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka. Taste the wines of Selbach-Oster, Brundlmayer, Hexamer and meet the winemakers too. Joann Selbach, Harold Hexamer, and Vincent Brundlmayer will be on hand to talk about their wines during a reception with passed hors d’oeuvres followed by an elegant four course meal created by Executive Chef Hugo Ortega. Taste six of France’s finest sparkling wines from such areas as Bandol, Alsace, Loire and Burgundy. The tasting will include discussions on what makes a sparkling wine sparkle and how these lessor known wines have much of the taste and quality that Champagne drinkers cherish.
