A local group of Topeka Artists are coming together to raise money for tornado victims in Reading Kansas and Joplin Missouri by hosting an art auction. Many donations from local area artists have been collected and will be auctioned off in silent auction form. Various Art ranging from painting, photography, gift certificates, and more will be available.
The Auction takes placeJune 30, 2011 at Warehouse 414, located at 414 SE 2nd St. in Topeka.The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30. Along with the silent auction there will be food, music, live entertainment, face painting for kids, and a raffle for various gift certificates and an exclusive painting from local artist Staci Dawn valued at $400.00.
“It’s amazing how a group of local artist can bring a community together to help neighboring towns to rebuild lives that were traumatically torn away from them,” says Joe Cheray of Topeka, “It’s exciting to see how this is going to turn out and we’re really hoping that Topeka will come out and support a cause that touches so close to home and we can really make a difference in their lives.”
