June 21st the official start of summer, school is out and the kids are crying “I’m bored”. There is no end to what has just begun, no corner to hide away from it all and no alone time. I’m not going to tell you in this article what to do in the good ole summertime, instead I’m going to challenge you to write what you do this summer.
This summer make life exciting by writing in a journal or on your own blog daily. Expect to write something important no matter how trivial it may seem at the time. Write about an important person, someone you love or select a chosen topic of the day. Write something meaningful daily even if something really rotten botches your plans by some weird act of randomness. Ideas for a topic starter when you need an inspiration are listed below.
“Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived.” Jean Luc Picard.
Writing daily in a summer events journal is a great way to vent or share an inspiration.
1. Write about a day you will never forget.
2. Write about five things that make you happy.
3. What is one path you are glad you did not take?
4. What motivated you the most today?
5. What was the silliest thing you heard today?
6. Write about a funny experience or time in your life.
7. Describe your ideal vacation.
8. Write about a quote or verse that has inspired you.
9. What is one activity you would love to try, but haven’t yet?
10.Write a letter to yourself at 16 years old.
By the way when I was growing up, if we said, “I’m bored” that meant trouble for us. My siblings and I were warned onced to find something to do or be given something to do and that folks is the way it was done. That usually meant cleaning out the garage, helping with house, in the garden or taking care of pets. There is always something to do in the country and we could make our own fun or else.
