The nation’s capital city has a plethora of potential wedding venues. Unique, stately, small or large DC has the venue for you. When planning for a wedding in the city always have a plan B, especially for summer weddings. Most of the rain in the DC area comes in the summer months in the afternoons. The Mid-Atlantic area can be quite humid and afternoon showers are common. Make sure you have a rain plan if you plan to host a summer reception outdoors.
Plan to traffic! If you are hosting your event downtown especially, make sure your planner, transportation and family are aware of the traffic and parking issues in the area. We get a lot of tourist during the summer months.

Having guest from out of town? Share the local flavors with them. Maryland Blue Crab is a local favorite. Have your caterer serve lump crab cakes with a sauce infused with Old Bay seasoning and give them something to remember your hometown for.(besides your fabulous wedding day, of course!)
