On tonight’s finale of the Biggest Loser, the contestants finally wrapped up the biggest, Biggest Loser season in history and the last time viewers as well as contestants, will ever see veteran trainer Jillian Michaels, in the capacity of trainer.
Eight months ago, the contestants stepped on campus to a season filled with surprises as such of going on a trip to New Zeeland.
Before host Alison Sweeney brought out the eliminated players, she first told America who they voted to compete along with Sisters Hannah and Olivia for the 250,000 dollar grand prize and the winner of America’s vote was Irene. That makes it the first time in biggest loser history that all women faced off for the grand prize.
[Jay sorted a tattoo with the words, “What you’re for strengthens you…” and today’s date.]
Valparaiso’s own Marci and Courtney managed to do the state of Indiana and Chicago proud by losing a combined total of 196 pounds since being on campus and Ana managed to lose 109 pounds going from 255 to 146.
Twins Dan and Don not only managed to look stunning in their duds and weight loss, but told Ali about a website the city of Oklahoma has come up with in their fight against obesity. The website here is a reminder that all cities across the U.S., especially Chicago, should have one of their own.
[The twins managed to lose a combined total of 254 pounds, Dan going from 287 to 163 and Don from 309 to 179 pounds.]
After all the at home players weighed in for the last time, it came down to Deni who lost 125 pounds , Justin who lost 173 pounds and Austin who lost 174 pounds, which made Deni the at home winner of the 100,000 dollar prize, losing 43.92% of her total body weight! Congratulations Deni on your success.
[Unfortunately, former Olympic gold medalist Rulon did not make the finale. Hopefully he will get back on track and complete his journey with a healthy mind and heart.]
The final three met again onstage for the first time since leaving the Biggest Loser campus, all of which looked stunning! For the first time in Biggest Loser history, not only are the final 3 comprised of all women, but two sisters are finalists as well.
Hannah went from 248 pounds to 128 pounds which is a total of 120 pounds loss and 48.39% of body weight lost. Irene went from 255 pounds to 139 pounds with a total of 116 pounds loss. With only her sister left to weigh in, the grand prize came down Hannah and Olivia. A power force since the start of the season and the underdogs, Hannah and Olivia had a lot to prove to their fellow contestants as well as themselves.
Olivia went from 261pounds to 132 pounds, losing 129 pounds and became season 11 winner of the Biggest Loser!
Final surprise of the evening was who would replace Jillian Michaels as the newest trainer on the Biggest Loser. The newest trainer is, Anna Kournikova.
