May 24, 2011 – The new Bachelorette, Ashley Hebert had to kick a drunk Tim out of the mansion before she picked her first 18 bachelors.
The premiere of The Bachelorette started off with lots of drama, awkwardness and a good amount of humor as well. Before the first rose ceremony, Ashley sent bachelor Tim home because he was totally wasted and passed out on a couch.
Tim started the evening out a bit shyly, but as the night progressed he got drunker and drunker. He even became a little hostile with another contestant, Jeff, because he was wearing a black mask all night. In his most drunken hour, Tim actually challenged Jeff to a fight.

As for Jeff’s mask wearing mystery, he revealed that he wore it because he wanted Ashley to judge him by his personality and not his looks. This tactic actually worked for Jeff, as Ashley took him seriously and gave him the benefit of the doubt.
Some awkward moments came with Anthony, a New Jersey butcher who greeted Ashley with very few, and odd words. Anthony sounded like he came straight from an Italian “wise guys” movie and it only took Ashley two minutes to realize he was not a great prospect for her.

It was a bit of a shame to see Anthony go, though, as he would have provided a good amount of humor to the show, at least for a few episodes…
Then, there was Bentley, the bachelor who has earned the reputation of being the villain of the season. Ashley had been tipped that he was there for the wrong reasons, but she decided to give him a chance regardless.
It didn’t take long, however, for the viewers to learn what Bentley’s all about. He did not shy away from telling the cameras he’s not overly attracted to Ashley, but that he feels the first impression rose should have been his and not Ryan P.’s.
Ashley Hebert: ‘Bachelorette’ was difficult but I’m happy how things turned out
On the previews of upcoming episodes, Bentley gets even more vile, becoming perhaps, the worst contestant in the history of The Bachelor/Bachelorette.
Check out a preview clip for next Monday’s episode of The Bachelorette to catch a bit of what will take place with the remaining 18 men.
