Greetings, readers and good days. It’s summer time and in the Phoenix region, it’s hot this summer, meaning the average weekly temps are above the normal for this time of year, but just under record breaking. The Happy Hour enthusiast, as we all are, is looking for some fun and exciting places to get away to.
In the Phoenix region, it’s good to get out of the heat and into some Happy Hour drinks and appetizer specials. Some sports-like atmosphere with plenty of monitors to keep us up on the off season sports news at this time of the season when most major sports are not in season. It’s the season to focus on Happy Hour for the bars and clubs, restaurants and bistros. Ya gotta’ get those customers in and focus on building and keeping that group of regulars that would frequent the joint. Word of mouth is the best avenue for good advertising, so making an impression is important. Making a good and lasting impression is important. You need that in the slow season as it is, going into the busy season. Ya gotta’ hype it up.
TGI Friday’s in Surprise, Arizona is well aware of that fact and upon paying them a visit to examine their Happy Hour endeavors, TGI Friday’s comes up big in the impression department with very visible signage to get your attention, and banners out on the building facing the main drag which list specials also in effort to get your attention. Nice work. Not all TGI Friday’s run the same deals, so we have to give credit to the establishment in Surprise. Part of that positive impression is having the dry erase or chalk board in the entrance area(standard), which also lists which specials are being featured. The Happy Hour enthusiast likes to know what’s up pretty much at the door before a whole lot of shaking starts going on. Friendly service and knowledgeable employees are of course the driving force behind any good experience which TGI Friday’s also steps up to the plate with great service.
Happy Hour at TGI Friday’s runs Monday thru Saturday from 3 to 7 and again from 9 until close. Sunday all day. Now that’s some Wow hours. Great for the late night enthusiast. This location is clean and the manager on duty boasts of having 21 different beers on tap and plenty of imports to please most beer tastes. Wow as the crowd is chatty and as far as being a neighborhood bar and grill, the whole neighborhood seemed to be present and accounted for. A large number of regulars makes up a good portion of the crowd and that means TGI Friday’s is doing their job well. The prices are Wowful and start with $2 Draught beers. $3 well drinks and 20oz. Draught beers also at $3 only. Bottles are $3 and that ain’t so special but it’s okay given the rest of what’s going on. One of their signature specials is an Ultimate Cocktail for $5. The seating area outside is ginchy and nice. The main dining area is almost empty during the Happy Hour and bar is crowded. Especially on Friday.
TGI Friday’s in Surprise, Arizona is spot on with Happy Hour. Great atmosphere and plenty of Wow factor. Outstanding prices and the micro brew selection is stellar. For the first time, we had so much fun examining and enjoying the place and the drinks, good conversation with the manager on duty, we didn’t examine the appetizer menu at Happy Hour. A return visit is in order. TGI Friday’s earns a 10+ on our happy meter and the happy is in the house. Our meter runs from 1 to 10 and is quite accurate. See you at the next spot.
