Taylor Swift will ‘rock the house’ in Nashville tonight in her own benefit concert to help tornado victims in Alabama. Taylor’s ‘Speak Now/Help Now” Concert Rehearsal will donate all ticket sales to the victims. By opening up her rehearsal and selling tickets, she is able to benefit those victims of the Alabama tornados with the funds.
Downtown Nashville – Bridgestone Arena – tonight, May 21st, is the scene of artist Taylor Swift’s ‘Rehearsal’ party which she is throwing for 13,000 of her closest friends. Well, not really her closest friends. But anyone who is a fan of Taylor Swift already knows how she feels about her fans.
She is, herself, a big fan of her own fans. Being the unique individual she is, Taylor stands for (more than) 13 hours at the annual CMA Music Festival, greeting her fans, and does not leave until finished.
Taylor is starting her worldwide tour on Friday in Nebraska. She decided to open up her ‘rehearsal’ at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and sell 13,000 tickets for 50 dollars each, with all of the proceeds going to the tornado victims in Alabama.
Taylor has opened her purse and her heart before for disaster victims when she donated 500,000 dollars to the Middle Tennessee flood victims of the May 2, 2010 Great Flood of Nashville.
Some fans from Alabama who were directly affected by the recent tornados were on hand to enjoy the concert along with some we know who were going, too. My sister in law, her daughter, and her 7 year old granddaughter were going with some friends to the concert. The 7 year old is a huge fan of Taylor Swift, and they already have tickets for the concert Taylor will be giving in Nashville at the Bridgestone Arena in September. We expect we will be hearing cries of “Awesome!” and “Amazing!” when we get the first hand report about the concert goers experience.
A few minutes before time for the 7:30 concert to begin, Taylor Swift sent out this note to her Facebook friends: “Make up, stretching, warming up, running around saying good luck to everyone.. Speak Now/Help Now. Nashville! I’m excited.”
and Taylor Swift also send this message:
“Taylor’s broadcast of two songs from the Speak Now Help Now benefit in Nashville doesn’t begin until 9pm CDT tonight, but you can chat with other fans about the event now at http://www.taylorswift.com/stream — be sure to tune in tonight at 9pm CDT!”
I sent my niece a message for a quote for this story while she is at the concert and she said Taylor was not on stage yet, “BUT she did leave free t-shirts on the chairs for everyone!”
Taylor Swift rocks the stadium in her own unique brand of music and gives from her heart in her “Speak Now Help Now” Concert Rehearsal in Nashville!
