Hagley Museum and Library is hosting a one week summer camp for the littlest fans of the Civil War and 19th century living. Camp is scheduled for July 11th-15th for ages 9-11. Space is still available! So don’t miss this opportunity to sign your child up. Campers can look forward to battle reenactment, cooking food on a cast iron stove, period music and games, and lots of other fun activities including a visit to nearby Fort Delaware. Groups will be small and accompanied by two adult instructors and three teen counselors. Before and after care is available to accomodate working parents. Creek Kids Program – Gunpowder and the Civil War at Hagley
Families are invited to learn about the different uses for gunpowder in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and explore Hagley’s communities. Included activities will give visitors the opportunity to learn about the communtiies and their roles in the Civil War. Programs include Machine Shop apprenticeships, creating care packages, Civil War drilling and cannon firing. All of this is included in regular museum amission and is free for members.

Creek Kids Program – Heritage and Home Life at Hagley
Hagley’s youth volunteers invite you to come explore the lives of people who lived in workers’ communites. Games, history, food, and crafts will be included in regular museum admission and is free for members.

Creek Kids Program-The Natural World of the Brandywine
Bring your family to Hagley to explore the nature and wildlife that make the Brandywine their home. Programs include games, history, food, and make-and-take crafts. Included in regular museum admission. Free for members.
Hagley’s Bike and Hike every Wednesday evening in July and August Get your family out to enjoy some fresh air and exercise. Bring your bike or walking shoes to Hagley from 5-8pm and enjoy the riverside and wooded trails of Hagley and the Brandywine river. Make an evening of it and bring a picnic dinner or eat at the Belin House Organic Cafe. Admission is $2/ person.
