The last place in the world one would expect to see Socialism take root is Fort Worth Texas; but that hasn’t stopped it from actually happening. It just so happens that Fort Worth is home to a branch of the Socialist Party. Earlier this year in February; the Socialist Party of Texas had a meeting at the Bedford Public Library. The Socialists also have a social media page on Facebook. It was quite a shock to see that there actually were Socialists in Fort Worth. It seems that Socialism is in. The fact that this left wing ideoligy seems so accepted now is alarming indeed. It seemed almost yesterday that America was a beacon in the world standing against the tyranny of the likes of Marxist, Socialist and Communist Regimes; yet now even our elected president is a Democratic Socialist.
One must ponder the idea; if that the natural evolution of capitalism would lead to Socialism and then finally Communism. It almost seems to be so. Perhaps, the very technical advances that help capitalism thrive are the stimulus for it’s destruction. Every time there is an advancement in technology, there is regulation to go with it. The internet, fiber optics and sattelite technology are the modus operandi that enable real time mass communications. Along with that go regulation of such. It is now easier than ever to communicate with friends from accross the globe. The fact that the world has become a smaller place makes globalism a new reality.
We see the theme of “One World” constantly being pushed by the left.
“Workers of the world unite, it’s not just a slogan . Thats the way we do business”, says SEIUs Andy Stern.
With a growing world population of nearly seven-billion; sustainable development comes to mind. Technology that must be produced and regulated, a global market and the panic of sustainability or the diminishing global resources feed the Socialist ideology. The left uses environmental fear mongering, class and ethnic warfare in order to propagate their agenda. The idea that the common man or woman is too feeble minded to rule themselves and therefore intense regulation is needed is the Socialist way.
Even in Fort Worth, are seeing more and more collective intrusion into the lives of individual citizens. Zoning is a primary example of this. Whenever the city decides to rezone and annex additional areas into their limits the home owners of those zones are thus required to forfeit their rights. Social Justice and property justice that requires every person have equal possessions and prosperity requires that there be a regulatory authority in which to enforce equality. An example of this is the rezoning of Arlington Heights. In 2010, the Arlington Heights Neighborhood Association crusaded to rezone 6 blocks in their neighbohood against the wishes of homeowners. The AHNA, has filed multiple times to rezone the area against the will of many homeowners. Home owners Associations are but small scale versions of socialism, the assumption that individual homeowners are too stupid to take care of their own property.
Who does Socialism work for?
The have nots; the redistribution of wealth only works for the have nots. What is common in Socialist regimes is Totalitarian and Oligarchy forms of governance. This is the only way that Socialism can thrive. There has never been a case in history that Socialism has worked, because of the corrption and inequality that goes with it. Karl Marx is the man who defined Socialism and he could not make it work. What we have learned about Socialism is that Utopia always becomes dystopia. George Orwell an English socialist and author of dystopian works such as “Animal Farm” and “1984” warned of the dangers of socialism in his works.
The fact is that the Progressives, Socialists, Marxists and the likes have been trying to usher in a global utopia for nearly one-hundred years. FDR with his “New Deal”, The formation of the United Nations, excessive government regulation in the name of national security under George W. Bush and implementation of a Big brother society under both Bush and Obama have brought their socialist idea even closer to a reality. We now, not only see that Socialism and the idea of a world government is trendy amongst the MTV and BET Che T-shirt wearing crowd, but it is acceptable. We are now seeing Socialism creep up in Fort Worth. The vipers and insects are now crawling out of their holes and if America doesn’t acknowledge it soon the debate will be over.
