“The sorcerers of ancient Mexico discovered that we have a companion for life: a predator that came from the depths of the cosmos and took over the rule of our lives. Human beings are its prisoners. The predator is our lord and master.” This is a quote from Don Juan in one of Carlos Castaneda’s book’s about shapeshifting entities the travel the globe feeding off of pain and suffering.
According to Castaneda, “The ancient sorcerers of Mexico ‘saw’ the predator. They called it ‘the flyer’ because it leaps through the air. Supposedly, it’s not a pretty sight. It’s a big shadow, impenetrably dark, a black shadow that jumps through the air and lands flat on the ground. These ancient sorcerers became ill at ease when the predator made its appearance on Earth.”
On October 11, 2010, Marie, a Nashville resident, who says she sees flyers, agreed to give me an interview.
Examiner: “Have you had any recent contact with flyers?”
Marie: “Yes, I had a dream that I was driving home from work or something like that. It was daylight and I was driving up to the house and it was completely black like it was all covered up and it was getting dark and I was having trouble finding the house. It was completely blackened and when I found the house I was looking in the direction where the house was and then I saw it and it had a vibration or movement to it. You could tell that there was something alive covering the house. It was black and filmy and then it started to separate where I could see that what was moving was not one but thousands of black flyers connected together on the house. When I realized that’s what the dream was, it freaked me out.”
Examiner: “So what do they look like?”
Marie: “They look like a piece of…first of all, they are black and they don’t really have a head or a tail like that but they do go in a certain direction. They go in any direction but they go as a being, not like an amoeba or anything like that. They’re very filmy looking like maybe a very dark piece of cloth, just kind of moving along but in their movement there’s a certain amount of shifting their shape around but not really changing shape drastically. They grow, just like anything else and the more they feed, the more they grow and the denser they get. So I did see one. It was either one or many that had decided to look like one. It was really hard to tell and it was floating over the house across the street. It was very long and narrow.”
Examiner: “How long?”
Marie: “Maybe 50 feet.”
Examiner: “Castaneda said that when this thing landed and it just shook the earth. It was huge in mass.”
Marie started talking about how anger really revs them up and then she got quiet for a moment and said, “Uh oh.”
Marie: “One just landed on the roof,”
Examiner: “Can you talk to him?” Ask him if he’s here to destroy the world?”
Marie: “It doesn’t have a gender, and its response was ‘No.’ They want us all to live because if we all die, they all die. So they want to keep it going and get as much as they can. They can’t survive without us.”
Examiner: “Are we some sort of food source for them?”
Marie: “Yeah, we’re their food and they’re always wanting to farm us.”
Examiner What kind of demeanor is it exhibiting?”
Marie: “Calm, neutral. But dark, like even ‘dark natured.'”
Examiner: “Dark natured?”
Marie: “Like something sinister but mildly sinister.”
Examiner: “That’s a good word, sinister, mildly sinister, baroque.”
Examiner: “Does it have a face?”
Examiner: “How is it talking to you? Is it telepathic”?
Examiner: “How does it eat? Does it have a mouth?”
Marie: “Well you know we emanate this vibration and it’s like ‘skimming,’ they skim off this vibration and they get as close to us as they can. Like we’re giving it off from ten feet away and they try to get right up on the skin. I’m starting to feel real nauseous and acidy.”
Examiner: “Ask it what we can do to keep it away?”
It answered, “Godliness,” and then it threw up on Marie.
Marie: “It just threw up on me and I’m really starting to feel gross.”
Examiner: “It just threw up on you?”
Marie: “Yeah, it felt like it. It was this black slimy goo.”
Examiner: “Was that some sort of statement of disgust?
Marie: “Yeah, not with me but…
Examiner: “With the Godliness.”
Marie: “Uh huh.”
Examiner: “Now do they feed in the daytime or at night? Or was that the end?”
Marie: “Yeah, that was the end for me.”
Examiner: “So it left? Flew away?”
Examiner “Vanished. You would think people would be seeing these things if they were paying attention.”
Marie: “I don’t know why I see them and I don’t know that I see them all the time.”
Examiner: “But you have seen them. I can never say that I’ve seen one. I probably have but it just did not register.”
Marie: “They like to look like shadows and have a natural sense to them.”
Examiner: “And then they move back into the shadows.”
Marie: “Uh huh.”
Examiner: “They’re black. Wouldn’t the evening time be a better time for them to move around?”
Marie: “I don’t think it matters.”
Examiner: “Do you have a postscript about it all or a final statement?”
Marie: “I’m feeling kind of heartburnish or acidy.”
Examiner: “OK. Thank you for making the sacrifice.”
