Seasons 52 has a dessert for every diner. It is not the fact that there is a dessert for every palate, but the fact that every person should have a dessert because they are low in calories, high in flavor, and reasonable in price ($2.50 per Mini Indulgence). Each Mini Indulgence dessert fits into a 3 oz cup and is like trifle with layers of mousse or frosting and cake. They are a great mix of textures with the various toppings that range from melt-in-your-mouth chocolate shavings to crunchy pecans, smooth mousse or frosting, and moist cake. The Mini Indulgence desserts are easily eaten in four bites and are guaranteed to be the perfect ending to a healthy yet satisfying meal. Simply put, these desserts are meant to be eaten with pleasure and without an ounce of guilt.
On a recent visit to Seasons 52 two of their current offerings were sampled, Rocky Road and Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl:
The Rocky Road Mini Indulgence is a great chocolate dessert for chocolate lovers. It is layers of marshmallows, white and milk chocolate shavings, a chocolate mousse with white chocolate chips and marshmallow chunks, and chocolate cake. The mousse in this dessert is the true game stopper as it is richly chocolaty without being over-indulgent. You can tell it is made with premium ingredients and the chunks of chocolate and marshmallow are pleasant surprises that enhance the rich feeling of the dessert. The cake is a classic chocolate cake that does not try to be anything it is not. It is delicious in a way subtle enough to not detract from or overpower the other dessert elements.
The Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl Mini Indulgence tastes better than it sounds if you can believe that is possible. It is layers of chocolate shavings, peanut butter and chocolate mousse, and chocolate cake. The mousse is a fantastic combination of chocolate and peanut butter and it tastes just like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup but with a smooth as silk consistency. The cake was the same as in the Rocky Road Mini Indulgence and, once again, did not take away from the peanut butter flavoring in the mousse.
