A Sacramento grandma’s son-in-law, a popular Syrian American physician is speaking out for human rights and democracy in Syria and wants the mainstream media to cover the millions of Syrian Americans across the nation, part of the 16 million global Syrian diaspora who are asking for more media and culture coverage of the Syrian people’s protest for democracy, equality, freedom of speech, freedom of all religions and ethnically diverse groups, and human rights in Syria. A.J. Darcy, a Sacramento retiree, has 14 Syrian American relatives.
This Sacramento-based 2nd generation American grandma’s Syrian-American son-in-law is making videos and speeches to invite mainstream media to cover more of what Syrians in America are hoping for: democracy similar to the USA for Syria. He travels frequently to Washington DC to speak in public and hopes for more media coverage of how Syrian Americans are asking for democracy for Syria. Many of them still have relatives there.
Syrian-American doctor Mohamed Kawam is a compassionate, popular, and outspoken Wayne, New Jersey internal medicine physician who speaks out in Washington, DC and at home for democracy, peace, human rights, equality for all ethnic groups and all faiths in Syria, and the American way of government to bring normalcy to Syria. He would like Syria to become more in government like the USA when it comes to democracy and the constitution that emphasizes human rights.
He has made many videos on uTube and speaks in Arabic and English at various Washington, DC marches for peace. What Syria needs most is democracy and employment of its citizens, peace with its neighbors, and a government that follows a constitution more like the US constitution emphasizing democracy, a government run by the people for the people instead of an iron fist dictatorship.
Will the Syrian people win in the end? Or will more ‘thugs’ from Iran be employed by the current Syrian regime to beat the people into submission? Who will be the victor in this march for peace, hope, and democracy in a country that sees the USA and wishes for the same respect for human rights? Dr. Kawam wants the mainstream media to cover the many physicians and attorneys and other professionals speaking out for human rights and compassion.
Check out Dr. Kawam’s videos on uTube: Most are in Arabic. If you speak any Arabic, you can listen to the doctor’s plea to the world for peace, equality, freedom of worship for all groups, and human rights in Syria.
