Berlin-based DJ and Toolroom Records artist Thomas Gold will be performing live Thursday, June 16 at Lima, which is located at 1401 K St. NW in Washington, DC. Opening set by Matt Goldman. Brought to you by Glow and Panorama Productions, Glow at Lima, which was voted ‘Best New Venue of 2010’ by Armin van Buuren and David Guetta, never disappoints. Glow Thursdays at Lima now allow an 18 and over crowd.
Thomas Gold has come a long way from his seven-year-old self, playing the electronic organ. In 2009, Beatport nominated Gold in their ‘Best Progressive House artist’ category. He eventually went on to win the coveted award for ‘Best Progressive House Track’ for his remix of Delerium ‘Silence.’
Many of Gold’s recent productions have found themselves being snapped up by the artist labels of Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello (SIZE) and Axwell (Axtone). Australia’s leading house star Dirty South also signed Thomas’ new single ‘Areena’ collaboration with David Tort and David Gausa to his Phazing Recordings imprint. The rising star’s collaboration with Fatboy Slim, titled ‘Star 69,’ rapidly ascended the Beatport progressive house chart to claim the number four spot.
Thomas is constantly travelling around the world with his unique and distinctive “Golden TG Set,“ playing his own productions and remixes to many of the world’s best venues, from Mansion and Cameo Miami to Space and current number one club in the world Club Sankeys in Manchester, and now at Washington, DC’s premiere lounge, Lima.
Doors to the event will open at 10 p.m. and close at 2 a.m., though Lima by day is an upscale restaurant and lounge with incredible happy hour specials from 4:30 p.m.-7 p.m. and a lavish menu worth checking out before the party starts. By night the lounge features state of the art sound, lighting and visuals. The Glow Girls dancers will also be performing for added entertainment.
Glow offers free admission before 11 p.m. with the printed flyer on www.dcclubbing.com or reduced admission with guest list or flyer after 11 p.m. Discounts to other Glow events are offered by becoming a “Fan of Glow” on Facebook. Otherwise tickets are available on www.clubglow.com.
