The season 3 premiere of the ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ was packed full of drama and as promised this season 3 only aired its first episode last night of the ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ and there was already a big fight at new cast member Melissa and Joe Gorga’s (Teresa Giudice’s sister-in-law and only brother) Christening for her son, Giuseppe Gorga.
The saddest part of the night was Teresa’s daughter Gia, 9 who saw her uncle and godfather speak to her mother with such disrespect and begin to cry. Teresa Giudice stated in her blog about the premiere episode of the ‘Real Housewives of NJ.’ “I think you can tell by how shocked I was at the christening that this was an unexpected problem. A month earlier, Joe and Melissa were at Audriana’s first birthday party with us.” … “To see what happened when I wasn’t in the room, to watch my brother run after my ailing father and insult my mother — it’s just too much. My family doesn’t deserve this. I’m not going to trash anyone in my family or pick through every one of Melissa’s lies.” And that was just the first two minutes of the premiere of the ‘Real Housewives of NJ!’
The season 3 premiere then went back two weeks and we see Caroline Manzo and family in Hoboken, New Jersey and her sons Albie, 25 and Christopher, 22 showing off their new apartment as Caroline started tearing up about losing her two babies. Caroline stated in her ‘Real Housewives of NJ’ blog, “So what did you think about my boys leaving? Did it snow in hell? Did you ever think this would happen?” … “I never thought for a moment that they would leave on the same day, but in hindsight I couldn’t have asked for a better scenario. They have each other, and that gives me a tremendous sense of peace. The question is this: is Hoboken ready for these two? Watch and see!”
As far as mamma Caroline’s take on the Christening brawl she stated, “I’m only going to touch on the Guidice/Gorga incident for a moment. I wasn’t there, so I don’t know the logistics of what actually happened first hand. I only know that it was difficult to watch. I can’t even imagine what it was like for all those involved as they watched and relived those uncomfortable moments. There’s an old saying. “You can pick your friends, but you can’t pick your family.” In a perfect world our family members would also be our best friends, but sometimes that just isn’t the case.
As far as new cast member Melissa Gorga and her husband Joe they were defiantly the show stoppers of the night and began to set the tone for season premiere. These two are defiantly gift from reality TV heaven, Joe and Melissa got the most air time, stole Teresa’s hairdresser, started a fight at their sons Christening and almost gave papa Gorga a heart attack all in one day. Melissa’s version of the Christening events were a bit different than Teresa’s as she stated in her ‘Real Housewives of NJ’ blog “My heart is broken for my son after the events of his christening. It was extremely hard for me to watch, and I wanted to quit the show as soon as I saw it.”

“Some of you may be very confused right now. You may be thinking, “Teresa has a brother?” Before all the press, you probably didn’t know we existed, did you? Well here we are! I know the episode is a bit confusing at first. You’re probably wondering why Joe acted the way he did when his sister came up to him. It’s understandable so let me explain. Teresa has kept my husband, Joe, and his family (me and my three children) away from everything she has been going through and everything that has been so exciting in her life for the last three years. Although this all started before the show even existed.”
“She has never been happy for her brother or cared about anything good going on in his life or his children’s. She only wants to discuss her life and only cares about herself. She kept us as far away during Season 1 and Season 2, because I think she knew this would happen when they found us. Karma is a bitch. Family comes first for me, but unfortunately it does not for her, and it never will. It’s just not who she is, and that’s OK, but don’t think we are going to go on national TV and be fake with you. We are not fakers, sorry.” And the blog goes on for four more pages, for more if you can stand it click here!
There really was not much room in the hour and a half season premiere of the ‘Real Housewives of NJ’ for fans to meet Kathy Wakile or to catch up with all of the drama between Jacqueline Laurita and her daughter Ashley, just a bit of setting up for more fights to come between mother and daughter.
