On Monday night’s episode of the ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ season 3 episode 4 recap Teresa Giudice and friends got together for Thanksgiving or as Teresa Giudice called it Friends-giving due to the fact that she is still not speaking with her brother Joe Gorga. While Melissa Gorga celebrated Thanksgiving with Melissa’s sisters at her house.
The ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ began with Melissa Gorga and family at the grocery store with Joe Gorga ‘trying’ to help as he put things into the cart Melissa took them out one by one. There is am exchange at the end of their grocery shopping trip with the cashier stating, “Let the women do everything and the guys just eat.” Apparently referring as to why Joe was even in the grocery store to help his wife.
Next we see Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice trying to find the Turkey farm to pick up their ‘live’ Turkey, (quick note have we seen Joe Giudice drive in any recent episodes?) Joe Giudice’s blood was boiling as Teresa was not listening to him or their navigation system as they discuss whether or not Thanksgiving is celebrated in Italy, Teresa appeared to have a puzzled look on her face.
At Kathy’s house fans saw her whipping up some really impressive deserts (can you say new cookbook coming out soon) Mini pumpkin pies, mini apple pies, cannolies stuffed inside a huge cannoli, and three different kinds of Tiramisu, with her husband and children seemingly annoying her while she was cooking still flustered by her conversation with Caroline Manzo on last week’s episode and burnt something in the oven.
Quick mention, Caroline Manzo her husband Albert and their daughter Lauren drive up to see Vito (Lauren’s boyfriend) and his family at their Italian deli, however all they could talk about was Vito and Lauren getting married, they’re not even engaged yet! We also see Jacqueline noticing that her daughter Ashley has not only cleaned her own room, but cleaned the kitchen up as well, great job Ashley you are getting closer and closer to getting that new car and apartment in the city.
As Teresa is cooking Thanksgiving dinner for 20 people and taking care of four young girls, Joe Giudice is fast asleep in bed letting Teresa break up fights between the girls, cook and set the table. The girls have inherited Teresa’s trait for having everything look perfect as they help set the table and fight over the fact that it is not perfect.
The first to arrive at Teresa’s is Caroline Manzo and family who brought a tray of cookies which looked store bought and Caroline did not seem like she wanted to be there, next Jacqueline and family showed up and brought another tray of cookies (sprinkle cookies which later on Teresa mentions that she threw Melissa Gorga’s sprinkle cookies in the garbage last Christmas eve.)
Gia, Teresa’s eldest daughter then asks Vito, “so when are you going to get married? They even have the children pressuring Vito to propose, as the conversation moves toward asking the father’s permission for their daughters hand in marriage. Starting to really feel bad for Vito now, as he get closer to the Housewives family.
Comedian Jay Mohr gives thanks for Joe Gorga… and his many hats
Teresa then brings out a card from her housewarming party from Melissa that said, “Teresa and Joe, god blesses you in your redone home.” Caroline then start in on Teresa and ask her about her motives and tell her she need to focus on repairing her relationship with Joe Gorga and to stop the petty BS.
Back at Melissa’s house she has the dining table set up in the foyer? Melissa (in her fur apron) and her sisters are cooking up a storm while the men are standing around doing shots and picking at the appetizers. Joe Gorga then goes up to Melissa and says he has a surprise for her, as the entire party goes out to the front Joe surprises Melissa and family with a mechanical bull, still don’t really know what that has to do with Thanksgiving.
Melissa Gorga asks Joe during dinner if he is upset that her doesn’t have Teresa or his parents at Thanksgiving dinner and states to Joe, “if you don’t talk to you sister I will.” Joe then explains that he received a letter from Teresa and Kathy is very upset that something could come between her two kids.
Everyone at Melissa’s house tries to explain to Joe that he needs to talk to Teresa. Joe Gorga then sated, “I’m going to called her, sit down with her and see what she has to say.”
