This month, Das Bunker ATL is bringing the Atlanta Underground Club Scene another great live show to heat things up before the official start of Summer 2011. Live at The Shelter this Friday, June 17, is Panzer AG featuring Sin Quirin at Das Bunker ATL.
Panzer AG is the aggrotech/industrial rock side project of Andy LaPlegua (Combichrist). As a Metropolis Records label band, Panzer AG is a real heavy hitter in the industrial scene. Panzer AG will be joined on stage by experienced performer Sin Quirin. As the former guitarist for Ministry and The Revolting Cocks, Sin has performed most recently with Lords of Acid. While Sin has never performed with Panzer AG, this will not be his first experience sharing the stage with Andy LaPlegua. “I have joined Andy and Combichrist onstage for a few songs on this last tour when they hit Los Angeles and Las Vegas when they opened for Rammstein,” explained Sin.
Sin has been twice nominated for “Best Metal Performance” during his time with Ministry and has worked on 14 albums from 2003 to 2010. Aside from an impressive musical career, Sin has also been seen on the small screen with appearances on A & E’s “Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels” and VH1’s “Rock of Love Girls: Where Are They Now”. Sin is currently writing and recording material for my new project called The Great AmeriCon.
While Sin is no stranger to the original Das Bunker in LA, this will be his first time at Das Bunker ATL at The Shelter. When asked about his expectations, Sin replied, “I’m expecting a great f***ing show, and I’m excited and looking forward to performing with Panzer AG and my good friend Andy.”
Rounding out the live performances this month are Das Bunker ATL promoter and resident DJ Aesthetic and DJ Omac, who will be spinning one last time before he returns to NYC. They will be mixing sets of EBM, rhythmic noise, hardstyle, aggrotech, synthpop, and industrial dance to keep the dance floor packed and moving all night long.
Das Bunker Atlanta takes place at The Shelter from 9pm until 3am. The cover this month is $15 for 21 and up. The Shelter is located at 2101 Tula St. NW, 30309, and there is plenty of free parking.
