It’s that time of year again. The weather is beautiful out and its wonderful being outdoors. The sunshine feels great. It’s a great time to go out and clear your mind, body, and soul. The one thing you have to concern yourself with would be insect bites. The skin is the largest organ of your body-you need to treat it right. How much of the store bought insect repellents are being absorbed into your skin? Think about that-do you really want those chemicals absorbed into your body? Here is a natural insect repellant. The ingredients are all natural as pure essential oils come from plant extracts. It is a safe way to keep those bugs away!
Insect Repellent ingredients:
- 20 drops Lemongrass Essential Oil
- 15 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
- 4 drops Lavender Essential Oil
- 4 drops Patchouli Essential Oil
- 2 drops Cinnamon Essential Oil
- 2 tablespoons almond oil
- Witch Hazel
Note: All water can be used instead of half water and half witch hazel, however the witch hazel does help the repellent last a bit longer.
Mix all the oils in a 6 oz misting container. Then, fill half the container with water and top off with the witch hazel. Shake vigorously before applying. Remember, if you no longer smell it, then the insects don’t either, and you should reapply it.
