It has been said that all the exercise you need is a good 30 minutes at your target heart rate. And it has also been said that you must have a day of rest in between days of exercising. Well, it’s true. You don’t need to over work your body. All you really need to do is to get your body to its target heart rate and keep it there for 30 minutes and you are done. I hope that makes you feel better. :-)
So what is your target heart rate? Let me give you the formula to figure that out.
Keep in mind, this formula is an estimate ONLY so please, if you feel faint or light headed, SLOW DOWN!!!!! You don’t want to over work your body or hurt yourself.
If you over work your body, your body will actually begin to tear at your muscles and you don’t want that. You want to either be lean or bulkier and you need your muscles to give you that. So please pay attention to your body.
And what kind of exercise should you do? Let me give you a few ideas. You can swim, walk, run/jog or jump rope. It is also best to workout first thing in the morning. Before you have had anything to eat or before you begin your day. It will give you a much needed boost and it will keep your strength up for the remainder of the day.
Don’t forget your protein drink right after your workout. Keep it at 30 minutes, no more and no less.
