Charlotte Casiraghi competed on her home turf this weekend as the Global Champions Tour stopped in Monte Carlo. The highlight of the competition was the Prince Albert II of Monaco Grand Prix on Saturday. HSH Prince Albert’s niece Charlotte finished second in the Pro-Am portion of the competition while being cheered on by her uncle, future aunt Charlene Wittstock, mother HRH Princess Caroline and boyfriend Alex Dellal. The Pro-Am concept was created, in part, by Charlotte and is a more team-oriented take on the sport. This placing gave her 10,300 points total for the competition, which is quite a haul. The second place is her highest so far on the Global Champions Tour. The Tour is the world’s most lucrative series for jumping. Monaco was the fifth of ten stops this year, the finale will be held in November in Abu Dhabi. The overall winner in Monte-Carlo was Swede Rolf-Goran Bengtsson on Casall who completed both rounds with no penalties.
