1. How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as eclectic and always changing. Sometimes I feel like being preppy and girly and other days I am inspired by menswear and grunge. The best thing about style is that it can change dependent on your mood.
2. Top three designers/brands?
My favorite designers/brands vary, but a few remain constant. Topshop is my all time favorite, I have shopped there since I was 13 and it remains a staple in my wardrobe. I am obsessed with T by Alexander Wang for basics and DVF for something special. Nothing beats a good print and DVF delivers on that.
3. Top local designers?
I have always been interested in local jewelry designers. Right now I have been loving Whitley Designs, the pieces are really feminine and great when stacked.
4. Top three SF boutiques?
Shotwell, Nida and Bell Jar
5. Top three SF restaurants
I love to eat and cook and I have been lucky to work in an industry where I regularly get to try out new restaurants. Currently my favorites are : LoLo a mix between Turkish and Mexican, Marlowe delicious bistro food and Foreign Cinema which has the best brunch ever.
6. How would you describe SF style?
San Francisco is very laid back and casual. It is a unique city and the general style is just as unique. Nothing is taken too seriously and it allows for a nice mix of different looks.
7. If there was one thing you could change about SF style what would it be?
I wish people got dressed up more. I love seeing lots of people dressed up, it pushes me to put on my “A” game when I get ready in the morning.
8. How would you describe your blog?
I would describe the blog as a general lifestyle blog. I don’t just focus on personal style and fashion; I like to touch on all aspects of my life: cooking, interior design, travel etc.
9. What inspires your posts?
My posts are inspired by what is currently going on in my life. Right now I am getting ready to move so I have been preoccupied by interior design. In August, I am going on vacation, so I am sure that my posts will be taken over by what I plan to pack and photos from my trip.
10. What are you working on now?
Right now I am working on making the blog a success. Making sure I provide regular and interesting content for my readers.
11. Top three blogs?
I read a million blogs and it is hard to really pick my top 3, but I would have to go with The Glamourai because Kelly’s personal style is absolutely amazing and very inspiring. The Man Repeller because I think Leandra is hilarious and I actually laugh out loud every time I read her posts, and Milk and Mode, Caroll has the perfect mix between recipes, clothes and beauty tips.
12. Can’t leave home without…
My nails being painted. I love a good manicure, it makes you feel instantly polished (no pun intended).
13. Who are your style icons?
My grandmother she always had fabulous accessories and jewelry which I regularly steal from my mother’s closet. Kate Moss, because she is so cool and chic and come on, it’s KATE MOSS.
14. How has blogging changed your life?
Blogging has allowed me the opportunity to be part of an industry that I always loved, but never worked in. It is not just a hobby; it is like having another job – which I love.
15. Biggest accomplishment to date:
Starting the blog is probably my biggest accomplishment to date. I wanted to do it for a very long time and was very apprehensive. Now I have no idea what I was so worried about.
