Caldwell, ID– It’s been a long road for Mama Faith. But her journey is over – in a beautiful, nearly miraculous way – thanks to the amazing efforts of some incredible people.
Mama Faith had been dumped at a South Carolina animal shelter years ago – a dog that had never truly known love –never truly had known what it meant to be a true part of a family.
She sat, for years, at the shelter – waiting to find her miracle.
And she did.
I shared Mama Faith’s story in March. My incredible readers promptly went to work – networking this lovely girl and their efforts paid off – in the best way possible.
Mama Faith found someone that wanted to call her their own. After a long process of interviews and home checks, Mama Faith’s shelter was sure that the new home was reputable – good enough for this lovely senior to be adopted to.
The next phase of the adoption process was finding transport for Mama Faith – from the East Coast to the West Coast.
Again, some beautiful, amazing individuals stepped forward to make her transport happen.
Over the course of two weeks, many incredible people pitched in to get Mama cross country – to her forever home.
For a short while, she stayed with a volunteer from the shelter that she had called home for far too long. Her stay there was special, and well-documented by the caring woman that took her in – the same woman that worked so hard to find her a home.
She then started her cross-country trek on May 13. A trucker, named Tom, carried her from the East coast to Lakewood Colorado where she stayed with a foster until Saturday, May 21.
Cheryl, with Roads of Hope, took charge of organizing an amazing 11 leg transport from Lakewood, CO to Caldwell, ID.
Take a peek at just a few of the photos shared by Mama Faith’s new home. Witness her obvious comfort and joy at being a true part of a loving home.
A huge thank you to each and every person that shared her story – helped to organize her transport, or foster her on her journey home.
And an extra special thank you to her new home – the person that saw Mama’s potential – the person that reached out to give her the love that she had never know.
You are all amazing, incredible people. Look at the beautiful look of content on Mama Faith’s face – something that every dog should know.
These are the stories that make all of the bad worthwhile – these are the stories that show the fruits of your labor – way to go!!!
