Proceeds from this tour will fund scholarships to encourage study in landscaping, horticulture, forestry or environmental science – and up to $6,000 in grants to local community garden projects.
The club has donated tens of thousands of dollars in the past to recipients including Thunderbird Lodge, Tahoe City Historical Society, Watson Cabin, Gatekeeper’s Museum,, Tahoe City Historical Society, Ehrman Mansion – Pine Lodge, Truckee Hospice, UC Davis Tahoe City Fish Hatchery (Eriksson Education Center), Girl Scouts, Project MANA, Penny Pines, and Rideout Community Center in Tahoe City – as well as local colleges, Community Gardens and libraries.
