Busy Brains Childrens Museum is a non-profit organization and was founded in 2003. Chicago Parent magazine wrote about them in 2009, and presently they have not settled down roots. Like the wonderful circus of past, they have found many stimulating things to do with kids, on a traveling basis. They have served over 15,000 families so far. Their mission is focusing on interactive learning of arts, sciences and the humanities. They have a tile creation fundraisor. You start by donating, take a tile home for creating, then they will fire it (courtesy of Neil Estrick Art Studio) and they will feature it at the traveling museum.
To volunteer your time and services for exhibits, marketing, fundraising or grant writing at the museum, contact Allison Price at 224-381-0138 or Kathy Goers for further information at 224-381-1239 . They generally provide for children birth to ten years of age, with both educational things to do and fun activities at there best. Visit the website at www.busybrains.org to see the list of public events which are available for families to visit for free.
