Terra Nova, the Swiss Family Robinsonesque type series, appears set to premiere this fall. With the slashing of several series’ in the FOX universe, it only makes sense to include this highly anticipated Spielberg production in their fall lineup.
For awhile there, it seemed like the fledging series was not going to make the cut, as it was pushed back twice (it was supposed to air in May 2011). Are you prepared to be transported not only to a dirty, ragged looking future but to the past as well?
Why the confidence the show will air? Per deadline.com in a recent development on the state of the show, the man who will be basically in charge of Terra Nova, Rene Echevarria, will be re-shooting certain scenes, about 4-5 days worth to fully flesh out the 2-hour pilot. Not only that, with him at the helm (his prior work includes: Star Trek, 4400, Medium, and Castle) full time, Terra Nova is poised to rock the socks off in the fall of those who are very excited for this show.
The premise or the ideal if you will of a family, along with what appears to be soldiers, and scientists take a journey in the past to save the future of the human race, a re-boot, a start over. This is in a word? Awesome. How could it not work?
Aren’t you curious how and if this will affect the timeline of the people in the past? Will what they do in the past, will it destroy the future? Will it make it better? Or will all of this be naught?

That’s it for now. If you’re not familiar with what Terra Nova is then here is a bit about the show.
From executive producers Steven Spielberg, Peter Chernin, Brannon Braga, René Echevarria and Aaron Kaplan comes an epic family adventure 85 million years in the making.
TERRA NOVAfollows an ordinary family on an incredible journey back in time to prehistoric Earth as a small part of a daring experiment to save the human race. In the year 2149, the world is dying. The planet is overdeveloped and overcrowded, with the majority of plant and animal life extinct. The future of mankind is in doubt, and its only hope for survival is in the distant past.
When scientists at the FERMI Particle Accelerator unexpectedly discovered a fracture in time that made it possible to construct a portal into primeval history, the bold notion was born to resettle humanity in the past – a second chance to rebuild civilization and get it right this time.
