With all the news regarding the prediction of the end of the world for Saturday, some have given thought to what it would be like if it had actually happened. And if not the end of the world – what about the end of their days?
Here in Atlanta Herman Cain announced he was running for president on that day at Centennial Park and others participated in activities through out Atlanta on a beautiful sun filled day sharing their lives with family and friends.
Many never giving thought that they could be facing the end of their days.
Few seemed to be outwardly concerned about the prediction and took comfort that only God knows the time and day of the return of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Some scoffed and made fun but others may have taken the time to ponder their end of days. As you get older, you do that some days.
We are all mortals and we are not promised today much less tomorrow; and one day will be our end of days. That is just something we choose not to think about – not often anyway.
Some people die suddenly and without warning. Some die because of the evilness of man committing crimes; some get so frustrated with life that they can’t bear to go on and take their own lives; and some wither with disease and wonder, “Why me Lord?”
Some want to live who cannot; and others want to die when they have so much life ahead of them. What would be your thoughts if you were facing the end of your days? Thoughts of your past, the future without you, things you regret, things you wish you had done; things you wish you had not done. How would you prepare your loved ones and how would you say, “Good-bye?’
Take the time today to look at how one man decided to end his final days in the public; and be encouraged by all that he has to say. The video is beautiful, the music soothing, and message he leaves is timeless.
Choose life at all stages. Life is a gift of God and we are so blessed.
“Mr. Gabriel Garcia Marquez, great Latin American writer has said goodbye to the public life due to complications in his health: lymphatic cancer. He has sent a letter to his friends and thanks to the Internet we are all able to share it.”

God says that all our days were numbered before we had any of them. When we see the marker on a grave, it gives both the birth and death date. But in between there is a dash. That dash represents our lives. It is what happens between our birth and death that matters – it is called “Life!” Jesus said, “I have come that you might have life; and have it abundantly!”
