Current TNA superstar Hulk Hogan appeared on the “R.A.W.” radio show last night and spoke about numerous “hot topics” going on in his career and TNA. Perhaps the biggest question on the minds of wrestling fans is whether or not Hulk Hogan will wrestle again. On Tuesday, Fight Sports Examiner confirmed with a representative of the “R.A.W.” radio show the following comments by Hulk Hogan about an in-ring return and his goals for TNA:
“I can only say I had my 8th back surgery not long ago. Right now…I say it’s a 50/50 chance. I can feel the screws in my back but I’m starting to heal up.”
Hogan joined TNA in late October 2009. His arrival was expected to change the landscape of pro-wrestling and bring TNA into the main-stream. Unfortunately, things have not lived up to the company’s expectations. Partially because Hogan has only wrestled once or twice with TNA. Since spring 2010, Hogan has been unable to wrestle due to back issues. In December 2010, Hogan had another back surgery that kept him from TNA until March 3rd when he returned to reclaim his throne.

When asked what his goals were for TNA, Hogan had the following response:
“My main motivation is not to keep wrestling how it used to be…but to make wrestling how it should be!”
Hogan didn’t clarify much about how he thinks wrestling should be. However, if you look at the TNA product since his arrival, it seems that Hogan is keeping wrestling how it used to be. Wherever he has gone, the wrestling company has been focused on him and his friends. TNA has done this as well, and at the detriment of some of their younger stars. Many wrestling critics claim that TNA is just recycling old WCW storylines and drawing comparisons to the final days of WCW.

TNA used to be a promising alternative to the WWE before Hogan came. Unfortunately, things have become stale and the once exciting tag-team division, Knockouts and X-division are becoming cannon fodder for show that focuses on Immortal, Sting, RVD, Mr. Anderson and Fortune.
