“Mom, Dad. I’m so bored!” Have you heard this yet? Today is the first day of summer and, chances are, you have. If you’re looking for a few, new ways to keep your kids happy, entertained, and educated this summer, stay tuned! Today begins a 30-day series, all about tips on ensuring that your homeschoolers have plenty to do this summer, hopefully without breaking the bank. Every post will be one day in advance, so you can plan each activity ahead of time. And, as an added feature, each activity will be rated based on fun and educational value. There will also be an evaluation the cost of each activity.
Every Tuesday and Wednesday, now through August 3rd, Regal Entertainment Group is offering up their Summer Movie Express. Regal has done this every year for the past several years. And based on how packed the theaters usually are, it appears to be wildly successful. This year, however, the movies are no longer free. In what one could only guess is a move to help offset rising costs, Regal is now charging $1 per person to attend each movie. Though free is always better, $1 is still a pretty good price. The movie theaters are nice and cool so it’s a great way to beat the scorching heat. And who doesn’t love a giant tub of popcorn, washed down with a gallon of soda?
