Emphatic’s new video Bounce is just a preview to what the band has to offer on live stage. The song has energetic vibes that one can find on a stripper scene with words that will continue to bounce on your mind. The video itself is playful and naughty in a good way.
Emphatic, fronted by singer Patrick Wilson, lead guitarist Justin McCain, guitarist Lance Dowdle, bassist Alan Larson, keys/samples by Jeff Fenn, and drummer Dylan Wood, has been rocking the Nebraska scene since their self-titled independent debut in 2005. The band’s second release Goodbye Girl spent 17 weeks on Billboard’s West North Central Heatseekers chart. Emphatic spent their time in the trenches like any other rock band as supporting artists to Stone Temple Pilots, Buckcherry, Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach, Breaking Benjamin, Flyleaf, and Five Finger Death Punch. The band just wrapped up with the HardDrive Live Spring Fling Tour that included Saliva, Rev Theory, Madam Adam, and Seven Day Sonnet and they are currently on tour with Pop Evil and Crossfade. Emphatic will be on the 2011 Carnival of Madness Tour with bands Theory of a Deadman, Black Stone Cherry, and Adelita’s Way. Tour dates are set to begin in August.
Emphatic’s debut album, Damage, produced by Howard Benson (Daughtry, My Chemical Romance, Flyleaf) and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, Paramore, Switchfoot), is set to release on July 12th. The new album reveals Emphatic as a hard-rocking band with heavy grooves and ringing dynamics. Emphatic’s music matches the meaning of their name ‘expressing something forcibly and clearly’. The band’s hard-rocking style is aggressively energetic and will surely attract special attention on the radio charts.
