Normally the annual ‘Motorama’, Ft Worth’s largest indoor custom car show is held in the winter. But this year a scheduling conflict resulted in a date switch to the first weekend in July. It is expected the turnout will be outstanding as car enthusiasts ‘go indoors’ during what is normally a HOT summer weekend.
The custom car fanatics in the North Texas area are used to going indoors in the winter for their car shows to escape the cold winds and possible icy conditions. But this year they get to show off their wheels in the air conditioned comfort of Ft Worth’s Amon Carter Exhibit Hall in the Will Rogers Complex.
100,000 square feet of exhibit space will be filled with the finest hot rods, customs and muscle cars in the area. A number of the area car clubs will have displays at the show and in total there will be over 100 cars on display.
The Amon Carter Exhibit Hall is located in the Will Rogers Complex at 3401 W. Lancaster Avenue. From downtown Ft Worth, go two miles west on Interstate 30 to the University Drive exit. Turn north on University for one mile to Lancaster Avenue. The Will Rogers Complex is on the left.
Tickets are at the show box office. Admission for adults is $12, children 6-12 $5 under 6 free. Show hours are Friday July 1st 4PM – 10PM, Saturday July 2nd 10AM – 10PM and Sunday July 3rd 10AM to 7PM.
