So, I am learning the way to shop for a family of 7. Down here in the “real world” (the lower 48) it is so much easier to find that “deal” you’ve been holding out for, but I am still having some troubles making it big on my coupon finding. I’ve recently discovered the coupon world as I have never used them before in my life. Watching shows like “Extreme Couponing” make me feel like a dummy at the checkout stand when I am paying full price for any of my items. Some stores offer “Price Matching” which has help me reduce my grocery bill maybe 5% per month, but that still isn’t good enough for me. I have recently started looking at online forums to see who has found better deals for me to shop. Those are very helpful and have led me to online electronic coupons that I can load onto my “Shoppers Cards” and use in stores. The only problem is I now have to go down the road instead of right next door to do my shopping if I want to use those. Another thing I found out, though, is that the store down the road also doubles some coupons and has better deals at times.
This couponing/finding the best deal business is a tough one, but if you really want to do it and have the time and energy to actually keep up on it, it is way worth it in the long run.
