With July coming to a close end, next month’s list of films breaking out onto the big screen is sure to delight audiences and keep them entertained as the summer continues. Whether you are into an exciting horror flick or are looking for a nice film to take your children to, this August has some interesting films on tap for release.
Beginning with a great list of different horror films set to premiere, ‘Final Destination 5’, ‘Fright Night’ and ‘Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark’ have become the most talked about films of the genre which look very promising to say the least. Now while ‘Final Destination 5’ is also a thriller film, the buzz around the movie ‘The Whistleblower’, which is based on a true story, has been widely talked about and though having a limited release it is widely recommended that you catch this film when it releases on August 5.
Not too much of a thriller or horror moviegoer, well there is some great action films hitting this month as well, including the highly-anticipated adventure film ‘Conan the Barbarian’; not to be confused with the 1982 film of the same name. There is also an intriguing action/drama film called ‘Colombiana’ starring Zoe Saldana (Avatar) as a woman who grows up to become an assassin after witnessing her parents being murdered.
Of course no summer month can go without a few great comedy films to help bring out that laughter within all of us. That’s why ’30 Minutes or Less’ and ‘Our Idiot Brother’ will surely provide the unstoppable hilarity that comes from a really great comedy. Last, but certainly not least, we have the younger audience who love going to the movies just like anyone else. That’s why this August we have two can’t-wait-to-see films which will keep your kids happy and entertained. First, fans of the critically-acclaimed show ‘Glee’ is releasing its 3D extravaganza to all audiences with the premiere of ‘Glee: The 3D Concert Movie’. If your kids want a little more adventure, than take them to see the fourth installment of ‘Spy Kids: All the Time in the World’, which revolves around a top-secret spy agency out to save the world from evil.
