2011 Dundalk Heritage Fair – Enjoy three days of fun, food and festivities at the annual Dundalk Heritage Fair. Activities include rides, pig races, fireworks and performances by The Mahoney Brothers, The Guess Who and Eddie Money. There will also be a parade through town on July 4, starting at 8:15 a.m. (parade forms at Logan Village Shopping Center). The price is $5, and free for children 12 and under, quite a family bargain!
Kutztown Folk Festival – The Pennsylvania Dutch Folk Festival invites you to bring your family to enjoy the finest in traditional crafts, food, music and folklife. This festival has fun for all ages! The festival features 200 of Americas finest traditional craftsmen, fascinating demonstrations and treasures you can take home. Enjoy tantalizing family style feasts, ox roasts, sausage sandwiches, pies, pastries and lots more! Non-stop entertainment. Live music and dancing, comedy, country auctions, parades and bands. Fiddling, storytelling and historical seminars and traditions. Children will enjoy delightful baby farm animals, puppets, make-and- take crafts, hay stacks and mazes, story time, singalongs, and hands on fun. The festival is held July 2nd to 10th 2011 from 9 am to 6 pm. Located at the Kutztown Fairgrounds, 225 N. White Oak St, Kutztown, PA 19530. The festival is an ADA approved and wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs and scooters are available for rent from the first aid station. Pets are welcome on a leash. Parking is free!
Mason Dixon Fair – The Mason-Dixon Fair is celebrating its 13th year in 2011. from July 11th to 16th. General Admission is Monday – Thursday for $4 and Friday to Saturday for $6. Children under 6 are free! The Midway Gate opens at 5pm every night. Thre is free admission on Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm and rides open at 11 am. They will have Family Nights Monday to Thursday from 5pm to 11pm and Saturday from 11am to 3pm and you can ride all rides for $16. There will be tractor pulls, a Patriotic Day and even Karaoke Idol competition. Children can learn to appreciate local food products and farm animals from the Mason Dixon area. The youth program is designed to encourage boys and girls to exhibit in all categories of baking, canning, cooking, needlework, vegetables, plants and animals.
Pound the Petals T-Shirt – Join the Anita Leight Estuary Center in Harford County on June 26th from 1pm to 2:30pm for a fun nature themed craft for the entire family. Participants can print on t-shirts with nothing more than leaves and flowers you find in the estuary’s garden. The event is for ages 8 to adult and an adult must be present for a child to participate. The cost is $4 per particpant.
Fireworks Cruise – Join the crew of the Latern Queen Riverboat in Havre de Grace for the best seats for the Havre de Grace fireworks display on June 3rd. The riverboat leaves the pier at 7pm and will anchor off shore near the fireworks display. Whle waiting for the fireworks display you can enjoy a festive 4th of July meal. The riverboat is located at 100 Congress Ave in Havre de Grace, Maryland. For the meal, cruise, and fireworks display Adults are $65 and children 3 to 10 are half price!
