The Hard Rock Cafe is celebrating forty years of Rock and Roll. Taking the best memorabilia on the road the Hard Rock On Wheels 40th Anniversary Memorabilia Tour is in Philadelphia on Tuesday. It is an oversized outfitted big rig truck touring the USA with lots of rock memorabilia. You don’t need to be in Philly to check out Hard Rock memorabilia as the one-of-a-kind ‘Rock Wall’ is located in the heart of Hollywood. In an exclusive look, we got to see far many more items than the traveling museum and it took mere minutes to start exploring.
The ‘Rock Wall’ could be described as a 35 foot iPad attached to the wall (check out our exclusive photos.) With complete interactive capabilities the wall is a visual catalog of every item the Hard Rock Company owns. Thousands of floating photos on a very long screen gives a visual on an item used by a legend. When a person touches the photo, details of the item are presented. It could be a hat, coat, guitar or even shoes. All the information will be shared including used and where it currently is located in the world on display.
The Hard Rock Café franchise owns the most pieces of rock and roll memorabilia in the world. The different items are scattered at the cafes around the world including Moscow but everyone can see the pieces in detail on the Rock Wall just by the tip of your finger.
“This is such a cool way to find out about your favorite rock and roll legend,” says Joe Cannon local tour guide. He brings the groups of tourists to Hard Rock if not to have lunch then just to check out the Rock Wall.
The crowds to the Rock Wall on any given day don’t appear to be too busy. However, that will change as soon as the Hard Rock On Wheels 40th Anniversary Memorabilia tour hits town in mid-June. Giving the visitors (and locals) a chance to really soak up all the information they want about their favorites in rock and roll, the musicality of this Wall is something extraordinarily special. No reservations are required and folks can stroll in to check it out for free, at the pleasure of their convenience.
“We have a similar wall in Orlando at the Hard Rock Café there, but this is the biggest and has the most elements available,” shared the employee showing off the unique permanent exhibit.
If one wants the privacy of their own Rock Wall, the booths at the hard Rock Café have mini versions of the Wall to gaze at over lunch or dinner. Able to sort through hundreds of pictures of memorabilia and check out all the Hard Rock locations, it is perfect to enjoy with friends.
Visitors can check out the Rock Wall in Hollywood at the Hollywood and Highlands Mall. Hard Rock On Wheels 40th Anniversary Memorabilia Tour will also be on display in June.
