Have us, girls become the epitome of lazy? or Are we taking the term effortless to the next level?
As, i was walking in the mall i realized that the mall is like a zoo. Full of different species. In was having mother daughter time with my mom so we usually go bargain hunting and i was amazed at some girls choice of outfits. I know we sometimes don’t want to dress up and we actually feel like dressing down. i know this for a fact. I sometimes feel like i don’t want to wear pants. Yeah, i sometimes just want to be pantless… So, i slip on some cute sweats or even leggings with a cute top.
Back to my mall story. So, i was walking and i saw this girl that stuck out to me. She was wearing jeans that werent the right length and a hoodie and heels. Those 3 basics should never be mixed together. They are a dangerous mix. Should we stoop our styles to not stand out?
In the words of a wise fashionista Betsey Johnson said “Girls do not dress for boys. They dress for themselves, and of course for each other. If girls, dressed for boys, they’d walk around naked at all times.” and, yet we dont walk around naked nor we dress nice?
Were supposed to look effortless in a non effortless way. Were not supposed to look like we just woke up and rolled out of bed and took half our pijamas off. Hoodies and heels those are like the 2 h’s that should never be put together. Why look like you have just been dragged out of your house when you can look cute and simple.
Simplicity has been the newest trend lately. Its all about minimal logos and just simple accessories.
So, are we taking effortless to serious? or Are we becoming lazy?
Think about it.
Here are some examples of basics that you can mix and match into a million outfits.(:
