To many people worldwide, Saturday May 21st represented the end of the world. Followers of Harold Camping believed that his biblical mathematics accurately predicted 5/21/11 as the Apocalypse. The panic of this prediction even spilled over into the wrestling world as many wrestling fans were caught up in the paranoia. However, on Saturday, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who’s been very vocal as of late over the world’s top news, spoke out today on the “end of the world” belief. The Rock wanted to reassure all of the pro-wrestling fans that the world was not ending, as he posted the following comments via his Twitter page:
“Just talked w the good Lord. The world is not ending today. He said “stay humble and keep puttin boots to as*es”. Amen”
The Rock has a recent history of speaking out on the top news stories of the day via his FaceBook and Twitter accounts. In fact, The Rock was one of the first people to post on FaceBook about the death of Osama Bin Laden nearly 3 weeks ago. The Rock was so excited over the victory against terrorism that he even showed up on the May 2nd WWE RAW and started off the show with “We got him”. A direct reference to the capture and execution of Bin Laden.
For those that don’t know, Harold Camping predicted that the end of the world would begin on Saturday May 21st. Camping, the head of Family Radio Broadcasting, believes that by using biblical math he can predict the end of the world. Camping, a California resident, believes that nearly 200 million people would be saved as once the “Rapture” came on 5/21 at 6pm.

According to the Christian Science Monitor, the following formula was used by Camping to predict May 21st at the end of the world:
Camping says that because Jesus was crucified on Friday, April 1, 33 AD, and that it takes exactly 365.2422 days for the earth to complete one orbit of the sun, we can conclude that, on April 1, 2011, Jesus was crucified exactly 722,449.07 days ago. Add 51 days to this to get to May 1, and you get a figure of 722,500.07. Round that down to the nearest integer, and you get 722,500, which is an important number because it is the square of 5 x 17 x 10 . The number five, says Camping, represents atonement. Ten represents completeness, and 17 represents heaven. Multiply all these together – twice – and you get 722,500. Therefore the apocalypse kicks off on Saturday, May 21.
