WAVERLY DIY FABRIC FLOWERS
Waverly brings you the perfect rainy day DIY project to add a bright and unique twist to your home decor.
Follow these 6 quick and easy steps to create beautiful floral fabric creations of your own.
STEP 1: Cut a strip of fabric about an 1.5″ wide and 60″ long. Use pinking shears to give one edge a ruffled look.
STEP 2: Make a series of accordion folds, each one about 1-inch wide. Hold each fold in place by putting a dot of glue inside each fold, close to the straight side of the fabric (not the pinked edge).
STEP 3: When the entire length of the fabric strip has been folded, hold the folded stack upright so you are looking at the first accordion fold made.
STEP 4: Grab the top folded piece and pull the picked side out so it rotates off-center from the rest of the stack by 30-degree angle. Put a dot of glue underneath that section to hold it in place.
STEP 5: Keep going through the stack, pulling each fold slightly off center, eventually making a complete circle.
STEP 6: Create stems for each flower by gluing to bamboo shoots or wooden dowels from the hardware store.
