There’s no wonder why our minds naturally think of these beautiful sceneries. So, if you’re feeling a little therapeutic, then a dose of blue is just what you need for the mind and body!!
Now, that you decided to add a splash of blue to your home. Let’s talk about this universal favorite color. First, you need to pick a tint or shade of blue to use as your base color. With such a wide variety of tints and shades of blue, you’re left wondering which hue to use… The good news is that it’s a very easy color to work with! So, when using the color blue, you must keep in mind the many different effects it will have on a room.
For instance, if you want to feel nice and cozy, try using the warmer tones of blue. These tones work great in social areas, such as the living room. Think about using a blue fabric and/or print and applying it to some draperies. And, don’t forget some throw pillows to coordinate with those draperies!
And, if you like more of the cool tones of blue, try adding it to your bathroom. With a little blue paint and some accenting accessories, you will make your bathroom feel larger and clean with a since of calmness!
Blue is also great for the bedrooms, nursery/kids rooms, and office spaces. The cool calming effect of this color will actually make time pass more quickly and can help you sleep better!
To spice up your interior with some compliment colors of blue, try implementing some green, orange, pink, red, yellow, and/or neutral tones (white, black, tans, and browns). This can easily be done by selecting a printed fabric and using another color other than blue. Decorating with some accessories will give it a designers’ touch! Just remember to harmonize all your colors!!
