The MPE Penthouse 432 West 45th Street
Brut, the company which has been producing products for men’s grooming for over 40 years, held a party to celebrate the launch of the Brut News Network. The hosts for the evening were Adam Schefter – a sports writer and NFL insider for ESPN; along with Bob and Ned, the two BNN hosts. The trio held an interview on the terrace of the MPE Penthouse, overlooking a majestic view of the mid-town Manhattan skyline. Men and women who attended the event mingled, munched on hors d’oeuvres, sipped wine and had a chance to taste a few different beers from Brooklyn’s Da Vine provisions. I particularly liked their light colored Six point beganli ipa beer.
The Brut News Network, created by Sigma, is an expansion from last year’s campaign – BRUTSlap.com, which was used humor to promote the idea of “slapping on” Brut cologne. BNN features internet videos, along with commentary that often features ESPN radio host Jim Rome, via the “The Rome Phone”. The host Bob and Ned play two minute videos featuring topics such as Parkour, extreme sports fails, office pranks and more. Laptops were set up at the event enabling guests to experience the online show. Also, the BNN set was recreated where guests posed for photos. At one point, all of the monitors ran skits from the BRUTSlap campaign, as well as video’s featuring some of the company’s famous spokesmen, such as Joe Namath, Muhammad Ali, and Jimmy Connors.
The crowd was attractive, the view was grand, food & drink tasty, and the party was nice. To view more images click: Brut New Network Launch Party.
