In an exclusive interview with a named source of the latest report involving Brad Womack and Emily Maynard, photographer, Krista Lee says Life & Style magazine misquoted her in the May 30 issue. Krista spoke with me and another web site exclusively about how her words were twisted around by Life & Style magazine over yet another Brad and Emily report. She hopes to set the record straight with readers.
Life & Style approached Emily’s photographer about using some photos and she says the magazine decided to use the reason for Emily’s photo session to spin an angle in their recent report.
Life & Style’s version of Krista’s quote:
But Life & Style has learned she (Emily) had another reason to do the series: The former host of a NASCAR show wanted to give her career a boost. “She wanted to get more jobs hosting and maybe some modeling work,” Krista Lee, a photographer who worked with Emily in Nashville, explains to Life & Style.
When Krista was asked if Emily mentioned anything about going on “The Bachelor” to further her career in modeling or media work, she said no such conversation took place.
All Krista Lee said she told Life & Style about her photo session with Emily “was she came in for new headshots, and, at the time of the shoot was doing some hosting work. So you can imagine my disgust when the article comes out and they take my words completely out of context and misquote me, saying that I said that is the reason she got on the show. I don’t even know Emily that well, how in the world would I know that? All I know is that she needed a new headshot at the time of her shoot for her hosting work.”
Krista said she has texted and emailed Emily, but she hasn’t heard anything back — assuming that she’s just busy. In no way does Krista want anyone to think she was adding to Emily’s stress by the Life & Style report.
“I just hope she doesn’t believe that I actually said what the article says,” Krista continued. “She has been through a lot over the past year with false claims and speculation from all sides… and I would hate if somehow I have added to her stress.”
If Emily’s photographer had to do it over again, she wouldn’t have dealt with the magazine that twisted her words around.
“If I would have known Life and Style was going to call and misquote me and base an entire article on that statement, I would have never even gotten on the phone with them.”
This just proves you can’t believe everything that you read and that’s the message Krista Lee added in this exclusive interview regarding the latest report on Brad and Emily. Words are twisted around often just to sell magazines.
