The one thing that could throw a kink and Head of household Daniele’s plans in the Big Brother (airs on channel 5 in Phoenix) house is if one of the two people she nominated for eviction this week won the power of veto. If you don’t want to know who was put up for eviction this week until Sunday or who won the power of veto click away from this page now (you can check out other television news here) otherwise, read on my friends.Yesterday, Phoenix fans learned that Rachel and Brendon were put up for eviction (you can read the full details here). As these two don’t have very many friends in the Big Brother house, mainly because, they have dominated every challenge, but also because they have irritated most of the houseguest with their strategy controlling every aspect of the game (they should have learned last season they were on Big Brother; those types of actions only put huge targets on their backs). In fact, most would agree, if Rachel and Brandon came in with a different strategy this season, they would have had the opportunity to go all the way. But their competitive spirit won’t allow them to change their ways.
While we don’t know the details of the Power of Veto challenge we do know won; and Danielle is looking for a replacement eviction nominee as we speak. She may have a deal which Jeff and Jordan, but she is considering placing Jordan or Shelly on the block as a pawn against whoever remains of the pair. No matter what she does one will remain and Dominic said it best last week in his exit interview with Julie (he wouldn’t have gone after Brendon or Rachel because one would be left and they would be out for revenge).
Daniele’s strategy may not have been the wisest – and some would agree it was motivated by Brendon’s decision not to use the POV last week to rescue Dominic. Regardless of what she does. One of the two power players she placed up for eviction will remain in the house next week. They will have the opportunity to win HOH (Rachel has won both competitions she has participated in). If Brendon uses the power of veto to save Rachel (which as of now, in the live feeds is his plan) Daniele may have a bigger target on her back next week than she realizes. She may be HOH this week, but she made a lot of enemies last week with the back door dealings she was pushing for in the house… this will affect her in the game going forward. It might have been a better game for Daniele to repair her original alliance as that group of people have dominated the competition since the beginning of the show.
Do you think Danielle made the right choice in placing Rachel and Brendon up for eviction? Would she have been better if she had placed Jeff and Brandon on the eviction block? Or perhaps Rachel and Jordan? Or maybe she should have stuck with her original alliance and put Kalia and Lawon on the block? What are your thoughts? Feel free to leave a comment below.
