June 8, 2011 – The star of The Bachelorette, Ashley Hebert, appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show via satellite to talk about last Monday’s episode and vile contestant, Bentley.
Talking to Jimmy through a web video feed from Pennsylvania, Ashley began by assuring him that Bentley was not in her apartment, or anywhere near her. She also said that she watched the last episode all by herself, which she was glad she did.

“Is that a clue that you watched by yourself, that nothing happened at the end of the show?” Jimmy asked, meaning to inquire if she ends up not picking anyone by the season finale. Of course, Ashley didn’t give anything away, and just said to take it however he wants.
But, going right to the matter of Bentley, Jimmy asked what most fans also want to know and that is why she didn’t listen to the warning about him.

“I wanted to use my judgement on what I know of him,” Ashley explained, “I gave him a shot.”
Jimmy also asked if Ashley didn’t see at all that he was lying, because from his point of view he felt he could tell that Bentley was full of it. “I felt in my heart that he was being genuine,” Ashley began, “watching it… now I’m thinking, why didn’t I see that.”
Ashley then added, “I saw what I wanted to see.”
Jimmy also said that it looked as if Bentley was enjoying the lying and seeing Ashley fall for him, “It seemed like he was happy that he was going t make you cry.”

Ashley agreed and said she didn’t understand why someone would be that way, adding that on the third episode he was really trying hard to make her fall for him, so he could intentionally break her heart, “Why would someone want to do that?”
At that Jimmy boasted, “He’s the devil is why he wanted to do that! He’s the devil incarnate,” and then he laughed, “he may hate women, I mean, a woman named him Bentley!”
As for the other famous contestant, Jeff the Mask, Jimmy made fun of him for pointedly throwing the mask into the fire after he didn’t receive a rose, “That was dramatic!” He laughed.
