American Idol creator Simon Fuller recieved the 2,441st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony took place at 6268 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the W Hotel on Monday, May 23 at 11:30 a.m.
Celebrities attending the event included: American Idol Season 10 talent including the Top 13 Contestants and Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Mary Murphy, Victoria Beckham, Carrie Underwood, David Cook, Kris Allen and more.
Speaking at the ceremony was Ryan Seacrest and Carrie Underwood. Seacreast stated that Fuller is shy so it was good to see him getting all this attention by being honored. He also added that they were a close knit family at American Idol as he congratulationed him.
Underwood spoke next and stated that Fuller deserved this more than anyone she knows, as he has changed so many lives including herself.
Fuller then took the podium stating that it was strange being up on the stage as he is usually sitting in the crowd and behind the scenes. He thanked the entire team of Idol which included Nigel Lythgoe, Ken Warwick, Cecile Frot- Coutaz. He also thank Mike Darnell from Fox who took a change on the show after every other network turned the show down. He also sent out a thanks to Simon Cowell for being with him from the very beginning with the Idol run.
