CONCORD, Massachusetts (Isabelle Zehnder reporting) — The mother of 6-year-old Camden Pierce Hughes, whose lifeless body was found along a roadway in Maine, is apparently the author of an e-book entitled, “Good Night, Sleep Tight: How to Fall Asleep and Go Back to Sleep When You Wake Up.”
According to police, Camden’s mom, Julianne “Juli” McCrery, 42, admitted to killing her son.
In her book McCrery addresses issues with falling asleep and staying asleep. The product description of her book reads:
Have you ever tossed and turned in your bed from the moment you chose to lay down in the evening until your alarm sounded in the morning.
Chances are that you have lost countless hours of sleep as recently as last night. You and many millions of others like yourself will be pleased to find this book has been written for you and tells of all the ways and means to make sure it never happens to you again.
There are numerous things that keep us all from getting proper rest and most of which can be dealt with effectively. This book is a compilation of those things that keep us awake along with many useful suggestions to aid your effort in sleeping.
Sleeping seems like such a simple and natural concept, but tends to elude most of us on a regular basis despite our struggle to relax every night. Sleep is so vital to our health and well being that it is my belief the thoughts and suggestions in this book should be shared with everyone you know.
About the Author indicates Julianne McCrery was born in San, Jose, California in 1969.
She made her home in Dallas, Texas in the early 1980s. “She enjoys two sons, one who serves in the U.S. Navy and the other one much younger aged three and a half years. Driving a school bus and then somehow graduating to a cement mixer certainly gave her character beyond her years, and a definite need for a good night’s sleep!”
The book was published in March 2009. On Wednesday morning there were no comments or reviews of the book. By Wednesday afternoon people had posted“Child killer” and “Disgusting excuse for a human being” with comments that read:
“So apparently her book is about getting a good nights sleep, well I guess she gave her poor little boy a permanent good nights sleep with cough medicine and then dumped him on the side of the road. Shame on her, if this were a TRUE ACCIDENT of administering too much cough medicine she should of called 911 not dumped him on the side of the road like a piece of trash.”
“As the review above states, this woman is a sadistic and disgusting cold blooded killer that killed her own son in cold blood and dumped his body like trash on the side of the road, do not support this scumbag waste of life. I already posted on Amazon.com’s facebook page to request this book no longer be sold to the public so that she gains no money or support from the sale of this book. Burn in hell you monster.”
Someone posted a response saying:
“As we do not know what happened yet, let’s not gather the mob in front of the Courthouse with a rope just yet.”
