On Aug. 11, Walt Disney World released information on its food demonstrations and wine seminars for the 2011 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.
The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, Disney’s annual foodie event, takes place for six weeks in the fall. In 2011, Epcot Food & Wine runs between Sept. 30 – Nov. 13.
These special festival events offer more in-depth experiences on a variety of topics (subject to change). Seminars and demonstrations are available for a small additional fee of between $11 – $13 per person, tax included, and spots should be reserved in advance.
Note: Discounts are avaialble for Annual Passholders, DVC members and Tables in Wonderland members who attend Monday – Thursday demonstrations and seminars and book in advance. No discounts are available for Friday – Sunday experiences.

Epcot Food & Wine – Culinary Demonstrations are 45-minutes events that feature chefs and beverage experts who provide insights, tips and samples to enjoy. These demonstrations take place at 1:00, 3:00 and 5:00 daily during the festival. Cost for these demonstrations run between $11 and $13 per person (or $9 and $11 per person for Annual Passholders, DVC members and Tables in Wonderland members).

Epcot Food & Wine – Mixology Seminars are being offered for the first time in 2011. In these seminars, a mixologist shows guests how to prepare both classic and trendy cocktails. Guests of legal drinking age will enjoy the final product. Mixology seminars take place at 6:00 p.m. daily. Cost for these seminars runs $12 per person (or $10 per person for Annual Passholders, DVC members and Tables in Wonderland members).

Epcot Food & Wine – Wine & Beverage Seminars focus on the pleasure of the vine and of the spirits. At these seminars, meet a winery principle or beverage expert who will share tips to enjoying the selected drinks. These seminars take place at 12:00, 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. daily. Cost is $10 and $12 per person (or $8 and $10 per person for Annual Passholders, DVC members and Tables In Wonderland members).

Another new this year is the Epcot Food & Wine Scent Demonstration. Scent expert Chandler Burr will introduce a meal to please one’s sense of smell. Guests at these events will taste one of the courses as prepared by a Disney chef. This special festival experience will take place on Sunday, Oct. 2 from 2:45 – 4:00 p.m. Cost for the event is $13 per person.
Guests who wish to reserve a spot for any of these Epcot International Food & Wine Festival events may book beginning Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011. Booking begins early, at 9:00 a.m. on Aug. 12, for Disney guests who are also Annual Passholders, DVC members or Tables in Wonderland members.
